Default mail for 172.18.0.22 loops back to myself

Hi
I have installed Ubuntu 11.10/ispconfig3/postfix/squirrelmail
I can send from my squirrelmail to any domain but I can not send to it
If i send from hotmail to a domain on this server i get the following error:

Quote:
This is the mail system at host server1.example.com. I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could notbe delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below. For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster. If you do so, please include this problem report. You candelete your own text from the attached returned message. The mail system <info@werkvoorafrika.nl>: mail for 172.18.0.22 loops back to myself
I found something telling me to add my domain to /etc/postfix/main.cf but not sure where in that file to add it as I cant find any section for domain names.
However using ispconfig, should I not be able to do all this from the web interface?

Can anyone tell me where to look for the fault?

Kind Regards
Morten

Are there any errors in your mail log (in the /var/log/ directory)?

What's in /etc/postfix/main.cf?

Did you create werkvoorafrika.nl as a mail domain in ISPConfig?

Yes I have created a mail domain and an email info@http://werkvoorafrika.nl
I hope your email address is info@hwerkvoorafrika.nl, not info@http://werkvoorafrika.nl.

Is this the whole main.cf file, or just a part? It doesn't look correct.

Which tutorial (URL) did you use to set up the system?

Hi
Thanks for reply
Yes the address is info@hwerkvoorafrika.nl. It was a copy/paste error. Sorry

I used this manual:

I can see there was missing some part of the main.cf file again
I have attached it again, complete this time

Default Next Step

Hi again
OK, thanks for looking into it

Can i just confim one thing with you

If ISPConfig is setup correct from the start
Is it right that when a customer logs in and create a mail domain and a mail user, they should also go into Email routing and write that it should route the mail to the ip of mail server. is that right?

Is it right that if all setup is right it should just work without having to enter domain name manually into any file?

Is there a script I should try to run again to setup mail again. If so I could setup that part of it again and try. Is there a command for this?

Kind Regards
Morten

No, they shouldn't do this.

You as the administrator have to make sure that the DNS records of the domain are ok, expecially that the MX record points to the correct server.
