can not modify php.ini values centos 6

Hi there,

i am really going nuts. I have a centos 6 system with ispconfig 3 server running. I want to change the maximum file size upload and other settings but the /etc/php.ini is simply ignored or overwritten.

Which file do i have to modify ? I am using fast-cgi.
