Default mail starttls ssl stop working

I have Ubuntu 10.04 with ispconfig 3.
I have mail accounts from multiple domains configured on outlook and thunderbird like this:

TYPE: POP3 (the same for IMAP)
servername: mail.example.com
username: user@example.com
security: STARTTLS
autentication type: normal
same for smtp

But suddenly I can't receive or send mails When I clic on receive mails, it does nothing (It should ask for the password). If I change security from starttls to nothing, it starts receiving mails. The same sending emails.
Squirrelmail it's working OK

I reboot the PC but still the same.
I didn't see nothing strange on mail.log but I have this on mail.err when server starts:
Code:
Sep 27 11:59:24 nicerterrae pop3d: authentication error: Input/output error
Sep 27 11:59:24 nicerterrae authdaemond: failed to connect to mysql server (server=localhost, userid=ispconfig): Can't connect to local MySQL server through

Sep 27 14:04:34 nicerterrae pop3d: Maximum connection limit reached for ::ffff:83.54.90.113
What can I do?
Thanks in advance

P.D. I'm not sure but I think Ubuntu has been upgraded some paquets. Could this be the problem?
