Default Howto Setup autoconfiguration of mail clients smtp/pop3 settings?

Hi
I saw in Feature Request that someone had raised in 2005, a wish for ISPconfig to be able to autodetect mail client autoconfiguration of smtp and pop3

I am new in this mail world, but wanted to ask if ISPConfig does have this ability?

If yes can someone just explain in few words how to set it up or what it depends on or is this not possible at time beeing?

Thanks
Morten

I guess you mix up ispconfig 2 and 3 here, ispconfig 3 was not even released at that date and its a different software then ispconfig 2.

ISPConfig 3 has a remote API that can be used to create clients, mail users etc. from any website or external script automatically. The documentation and example scripts are in the remote_client subfolder of the ispconfig tar.gz file.
