Default "The Perfect Server Guide" problems

http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-se...ispconfig-3-p1

I followed this to the T alot of it was messed up like the directories for rpm was rpmbuild which did not exist so i had to change it to rpm.

Some of the links also did not work, sourceforge links i had to add --no-check-certificate on so it would allow me to download it.

Despite all this i did install everything however the outcome wasnt as expected.

Nginx works as far as i can see however ispconfig, phpmyadmin, php, do not.

PHP-FPM i cannot get to install nor run. I do not know if this is the sole cause of everything not working or what but i could really use some help right now.

I also cannot figure out how to update my PHP to 5.4.0 and mysql.

I am very new to linux (4 days trying) and dont know whats up or down with this thing.

I am using Centos 6.2

My Server: http://67.160.190.32

If youre new to Linux then the centos setup is not a good starting point as its much more complicated to install and maintain then other distributions. You should consider to use this guide here instead which is the recommended guide for ISPConfig 3 and nginx:

Id rather choose an operating system best for my server not for my skills. Ubuntu is horrible Ive tried it and hated it. I like centos so far I'm learning but this support forums isn't great if you don't help others instead give them criticism on what operating system a noob should use.

I asked for help on how to fix my PHP problem not what version of linux should a noob use.

The server IS SETUP its online and working but PHP is not running that is my problem, whenever i place a PHP file in the nginx folder it gives a 403 page error when html files are there it works no problems.

I recommended you the operating system thats best for your server when you want to use ispconfig. That its easier to install is just a side affect. You might remember this when your system crashed the first time on centos updates due to package dependency conflicts or when you want to update to centos 7 in future and find out that its wont work. Regarding Ubuntu, I guess you mean Ubuntu desktop? I talk about Ubuntu server.

Then post the exact error messages form your global and website log files and the ls -la output from your web folder.

What are the outputs of
Code:
netstat -tapn
and
Code:
 ls -la /var/lib/php5-fpm/
?

Your website folder should be something like /var/www/example.com/web/, so please post the output of
Code:
ls -la
from that folder.

Also, please check the nginx and PHP-FPM error logs (should both be in /var/log/).

Did you disable SELinux?

PHP-FPM is not installed and it will not install, it says No package found when i do yum install php-fpm.

There are no log directories for that either.

nginx error log is nothing but 403 errors from google bots trying to access my site.

Google has a sitemap of my site when it was running but there isnt anything up right now so its creating a massive log... too big for the forums or pastebin...

EDIT: Installed:
php-fpm.x86_64 0:5.3.10-2.el6.remi

Is this the right one?

Any chance someone could connect via Teamviewer and help me with this?

Did you follow the tutorial as closely as possible? Did you enable all repositories that are mentioned in the tutorial?

If you have created a website through ISPConfig, your document root must be something like /var/www/example.com/web.
