backing up emails
Hi there,
i want to back up my emails but i was wondering whether i have to stop postfix and/or dovecot while the synchronization takes place. If so what would be the best solution in order to minimize the service down time ?
Thank you very much
Regards

How do you back up your emails? I don't think you have to stop a service if you use rsync or tar.gz.

I don't know tartarus, but I don't think you have to stop email.
