Default CentOS 5.7 - Users and Groups GUI not working

I have an issue with the "Users and Groups" GUI tools on my CentOS box running ISPConfig. When I open the GUI from the "System / Administration" menu (/usr/bin/system-config-users), the actual GUI does not open and the "python" process CPU% goes to the roof ( 75% and Up).

Here's what I have:
system-config-users-1.2.51-4.el5.src.rpm
python-2.4.3-44.el5_7.1.src.rpm

Any clues would help.

Which ispconfig version do you use?

You can do a consistency check of the user and group files with the commands pwck and grpck.

Get ISPConfig support and the ISPConfig 3 manual from ispconfig.org.

I did the checks (no errors). ISPConfig (version 2.x) and the command line work fine, but the GUI is much more convenient for some operations.
