SuEXEC and Mailman = ERROR 500 internal server error
Hello,
In a update to ISPConfig 3.0.4.1 I've installed mailman to be able to use the maillist function.
Everything works well with the main domain name (example.com) but when I try to access
http://example2.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo
the page gives med a "ERROR 500 - Internal server error" and I get the following error in suexec:
Quote:
[2012-01-03 15:00:10]: uid: (5010/web7) gid: (5007/client3) cmd: listinfo
[2012-01-03 15:00:10]: command not in docroot (/usr/lib/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo)
Any suggestions?
Best regards,
Mattias

You might have to switch off suExec for alll sites from which you want to use Mailman.

Thanks for your reply Falko!
As soon as i disabled SuEXEC everything worked just fine
. Question is if I will disable SuEXEC completely instead because it affects most services running via a virtual host. Is this a security risk?
Any suggestions about this?
Best regards,
Mattias

At least it's less secure. As an alternative you can use suPHP or Apache mpm-itk.
