Mail Problem
Hi everyone.
By following "The Perfect Server - Ubuntu 11.04 [ISPConfig 3]" I managed to set up my online server at cloudweb.com. Everything seemed to be working fine, with the exception of incoming and outgoing emails.
On the generic ispconfig3 monitor all the service are on ok status, but if I go on mail queue log I get this:
Code:

My knowledge of Linux/Server Setups/etc is less the scarce, and before posting on this forum, I've spent one day trying to troubleshoot it myself.
Do you know what could have happened? I'm also willing to pay for a freelance (scratch that if this it is a violation of this forum) to make sure that everything is fine with my setup. Thanks in advance for your kind help

Ciao,
Auguri, bel sito web!
Amavis is not running, blocked or with problems.
Try to check it with:
Code:
/etc/init.d/amavis restart
and try again. Also you can post the output from the command:
...e vediamo.
Cheers

Hey, grazie mille per la risposta ;-)
I actually tried yesterday to restart amavisd but its status was already on running and it didn't change anything.
Anyhow I gave another try, but still on my mail queue I see this error:

This indicates that calamv is not started as well. Please restart the clamav daemon.

It was a problem related to my hosts file configuration. This is in the process to be resolved by somebody more skilled than me. I will update you later if the solution could have a broader application than to my case only.
Cheers...

Well,
really the problem was lack of memory in the vps. Some processes are killed for this reason and because there is no swap partition.
