Default ISPconfig 3.0.4 with no email service. Possible?

I'm about to start afresh with a new instance of a blank VPS, nginx only.

If I just leave out the whole section about mail services from the ISPconfig manual, will it work OK? And will it affect the ISPconfig Android app?

All the sites I run have been configured to ONLY use external email, mostly gmail smtp to send mail. All email services were turned off - no sendmail, nothing. Which worked fine, except I had to kill ispconfig's own cron jobs as it would sent the server load to 100% for some reason, and there were messages about the mail queue.

Thanks!
