Deleted link to ISPconfig3 /var/www directory??
Hello,
Under the installation of ISPconfig3 in a multiserver setup I happend to remove the /var/www/ispconfig link on the master server when I was going to do it on the mirror server.
How can I restore this link?
Best regards,

Run:
ln -s /usr/local/ispconfig/interface/web /var/www/ispconfig
to restore the link.

Hello and thank you for your quick answer!
I restored the link but I still have a problem with ISPconfig. I cannot login as user "admin" with the password "admin" on first install, I've checked that ispconfig talks with the MySQL server and the replication and everything else related to MySQL works just fine.
Any guess of what could be the problem?
Best regards,
Mattias

Check if the mysql password for the user 'ispconfig' in the file /usr/local/ispconfig/interface/lib/config.inc.php is correct.

The password in the file was different from the one in dbispconfig, changed it in the file because I've tried to change the mysql password to admin before (is this the right way to go?).
Still not working, tried to restart some services and noticed this under the restart of apache:
MySQL connection problem
I'm getting a bit confused
Best regards,
Mattias

You seem to mix up things here. The password in the file is the mysql password for the ispconfig mysql user. It is not the admin password for the ispconfig controlpanel login, so this password is not the same then the admin password.
Have you made a backup of the file so that you can restore the original file?

I made a stupid misstake and forgot to make a backup of the file when I changed the password (did it in md5 hash password). Still have the same problem. Tried to change the user ispconfig under mysql with a new password and saved the old one and did the same at config.inc.php but no change
Advice?
Best regards,
Mattias

The mysql passwords are never in md5 format. Mysql uses its own encryption method with its internal password() command.

This wasnt a good idea as this broke now all other services like postfix, pop3, imap and ftp on the server as they rely on the ispconfig mysql user and by changing them in the DB manually, all services will break. If you dont made a backup, I recommend that you uninstall ispconfig and reinstall it on master and slave.

Download the ispconfig tar.gz, unpack it and run the uninstall.php script which is in the install folder. You have to run that script on both servers. Then install ispconfig again.
