Default network settings for virtualbox VM

I have installed ISPConfig 3 on a Virtualbox VM running Debian 6. Host machine is Win XP pro. I can not reach the ISPConfig server and am not sure on how to setup the network (settings for both ISPConfig and Debian). I have a DHCP IP address...can I use Dynamic DNS? If so, is there a tutorial?

If you have a DHCP server in your network f.e. your ISP router, then you can set the network adapter of your Debian VM to "bridge" .. this way, the network adapter will ask the ISP router for an ip address, which will be the same as your own host computer, that way you can reach it.

When you have it to it's default NAT, it will get a ip address from VirtualBox, and will be outgoing only.
