Hi,

my webserver continue to have in the monitor section of the website that

Quote:

Status of Services (Server : server1.qmywebsite.com)

Data from: 2011-10-08 14:30
Web-Server: Offline
FTP-Server: Offline
SMTP-Server: Offline
POP3-Server: Offline
IMAP-Server: Offline
DNS-Server: Offline
mySQL-Server: Offline
The reason is because my follow etc/hosts file is almost empty?

Quote:
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
192.168.1.105 server1.mywebsite.com server1

# The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts
::1 ip6-localhost ip6-loopback
fe00::0 ip6-localnet
ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix
ff02::1 ip6-allnodes
ff02::2 ip6-allrouters
I have to add some lines?

thank you in advance

S

Hm, look good. Which distribution do you use? If you use CentOS/Fedora, is SELinux switched off?

What's the output of
Code:
iptables -L
?

Hi,

answering to your question

Hm, look good. Which distribution do you use? If you use CentOS/Fedora, is SELinux switched off?

In my case

#cat etc/issue
Debian GNU/Linux 6.0 \n \l

'iptables -L' output is

Quote:
Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target prot opt source destination
fail2ban-courierpop3s tcp -- anywhere anywhere multiport dports pop3s
fail2ban-courierimaps tcp -- anywhere anywhere multiport dports imaps
fail2ban-sasl tcp -- anywhere anywhere multiport dports smtp
fail2ban-ssh tcp -- anywhere anywhere multiport dports ssh

Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT)
target prot opt source destination

Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target prot opt source destination

Chain fail2ban-courierimaps (1 references)
target prot opt source destination
RETURN all -- anywhere anywhere

Chain fail2ban-courierpop3s (1 references)
target prot opt source destination
RETURN all -- anywhere anywhere

Chain fail2ban-sasl (1 references)
target prot opt source destination
RETURN all -- anywhere anywhere

Chain fail2ban-ssh (1 references)
target prot opt source destination
RETURN all -- anywhere anywhere
