Default Custom Error Page not updating?

I've updated the HTML of the error pages in this directory /usr/local/ispconfig/server/conf/error yet the old error pages still show? I'm certain the language is english, and the files I edited are indeed the ones that show on my live site. Yet I'm still seeing the old stuff. Even If I delete an error page it still shows. I've restarted my cache software (varnish) and even nginx to no avail.

Any reason why this is happening?

The pages get copied once to the website error directory when you create a new website.
