DNS/Namerserver Issue

I am trying to setup my server with ISPConfig and have it as the nameserver for my domain. I set everything up in ISPConfig and I set the nameservers to resolve to the ip's of my server. What else do I need to do to get bind to get my nameservers working? I followed the guide on howtoforge to setup centos as a webserver and installed bind "chrooted" whatever that means. If anyone can get me pointed in the correct direction that would be great.
