Default ISPConfig and antispam

I'd like to ask if there is any how-to/experience about running ISPConfig on a server, but running antispam and antivirus on a separate machine.

Is this really possible and what are the requirements? Or would you recommend me running a mail server on a different machine?

I'm looking for this because of too much utilized memory on weak machine. Migrating everything to a more powerful machine is not possible.

Thank you for comments / ideas.

It should be possible, but I havent tried it yet. My recommendation is to split your server into web and email server (as multiserver setup) and put all email functions on the new server.

Get ISPConfig support and the ISPConfig 3 manual from ispconfig.org.
