Bind9 Going Down

Hi

Ive noticed that Bind9 randomly goes down - usually every few days on Ubuntu. When this happens and I try to restart it comes up with connection refused.

I can see a query log but no errors or an error log. So is it possible to have an error log for bind9 or does anyone have any other suggestions?

Did you check your syslog?

Thanks Falko and yes I did. The only thing I ever see in the syslog about bind9 is the zone information when it starts. I never see any other information from bind or named. No warning or errors.

Does this always happen at the same time of day? If so, it might be caused by a cron job.
