Maybe I am missing something with users/clients creation
I create a web site somedomain.com for client foo. Then I create a user for it. E.g. admin
I want is the user when they login, to default to /var/www/somedomain.com instead of /var/www/clientN/webN
I guess that could be done using .bashrc (which I still can't figure out where to put it and then would modify it for each client.)
I would also like that they dont have to remember names like clientN and webN
For example all the permissions on the files show as clientN and webN
These numbers are hard to remember and can lead to mistakes especially by administrators. Are there steps on how to do this?
I have been using cpanel/WHM and when one creates an account you just specify the IDs of the client and users. Then all directories created are based on these mnemonic IDs.
Thank you.
