Default howto solve open basedir errors

I have tried unsuccessfully to resolve the open_basedir error on my ispconfig server configuration. The open_basedir is disabled in php.ini.

I have tried several parameters on the options section of sites/domain to no avail.
It all started after I upgraded the PHP to 5.3.

Is there a way to disable open_basedir in ispconfig configuration?
I will appreciate any help.

Thank you.

It is surprising that no one has encountered this open_basedir error even after making the suggested changes in php.ini.

I went to sites/domain/options and replaced the PHP open_basedir parameter with "none" without the quotes and that seems to be holding up.
