Default Postfix MySQL and System User SASL Auth?

Is this possible to implement?

Been trying to get it to work all day with very limited sucess, depending on whether i've got the -r param in /etc/sysconfig/saslauthd depends on which one works.

System users will auth ok without the realm being passed but won't with it being pass and vise versa for sql users. Sure i've managed this before some years ago but don't think I was using PAM at that point.

Other than the sasl auth everything else works great.

This is Fedora 14 with postfix and courier-imap.

Any pointers would be great. Thanks .
