Default Newb - subdomains for services

Newbie here and so I just don't know what to search for but I am more than willing to read documentation, just don't know where to start.

So what is the ISPConfig 3 way to attach subdomains for each of the services? So say I have a VPS with an static IP, and I have a FQDN of server1.domain.com.

I am able to ftp/www/smtp/etc. using the name server1.domain.com but would I would like to do is have the standard:

mail.domain.com - mail
ftp.domain.com - ftp
www.domain.com - web

how would I do that?

and then how would it work for resellers where if I wanted to give my buddy server space where he can add domains, how would he get:

mail.hisdomain.com
ftp.hisdomain.com
www.hisdomain.com

but of course this is all hosted off of a single IP.

Thanks in advance.

Just create dns a-records for all subdomains pointing to the IP address of your server that you want to use to access the server.

Makes sense and worked as expected. I knew it was something easy.
