Username suggestions.
Why not let the system suggest a name for each mail user created.
And limit the name to 8 chars (making unix style happy)
my domain webhosting.com if i add a user then the system will suggest the following.
1:st user : webhosti
2:nd user : webhos01
3:rd user : webhos02
4:th user : webhos03
And also before the system suggests a name it can check against excisting names to make sure the name is unique.
regards / Daniel.

You wouldn't believe how many people would complain if the username was limited to 8 chars, believe me...

I don't like to state points on other appliactions and comparing them, but I feel the need to just do it this time.
In CPanel/WHM I can create a new website with any name I want so long as they are not on the same domain.
for example: admin@domain1.com and admin@domain2.com

This is possible in these applications because they use virtual user accounts and not system user accounts like ISPConfig. Personally i would like to change mailusers in ISPConfig to virtual users, but therefore we will have to rewrite about 30% of the sourcecode. This is maybe something for a 3.0 or 4.0 version :-)
