Simple Solution for VPN (Server = Debian, Clients = Win/Linux)
after investigating a long time i would like to ask in here what you would suggest me for the following scenario:
At home i have a Linux Box, running Debian Lenny that is permanently connected to the Internet. On this Box are Services like Samba, Apache installed.
I want to connect from anywhere in the Internet to this Box via VPN, i think it should be in Roadwarrior Mode because different Clients with different IPs should be able to connect.
I know about OpenVPN, but i would prefer a Solution where no keys and no extra software is needed. The connection should have of course state-of-the-art encryption.
I think i should use an ipsec-based vpn, because all modern clients (win/linux) have that already installed. but i'm not sure if there are better things. Also i'm confused about what exactly i need (ipsec, racoon, freeswan/openswan...??)
does someone know a good tutorial for installation of that stuff, so people can connect to my Box and use the Services running on it?
P.S. is it true that all Clients that are Connected via VPN have no more Internet Connection and all the Traffic is routed through my Box?
