Default Location of the mailfolders.

I'm trying to figure out where ISPC3 puts the users emails and why.
I can see something in both /var/mail/ and /var/vmail/ but neither does not seem to have all the email clients.

What is the stuff in /var/mail/ ?

ISPConfig uses the /var/vmail directory for all ist email domains and users.

Looks like those mails are replies to emails the website has sent. Mostly error messages. 'Message was not delivered... etc."
