I had newest version ISPConfig and it works fine, but after I added a * in ISPconfig DNS, i cannot receive email anymore. it bounced back "mail for domainname.com loops back to myself".

Even now if I deleted the * in the ISPConfig, it is still having *.domainname.com in /etc/postfix/local-host-name and user@*.domainname.com in /etc/postfix/virtusertable . If I manually remove the *. in both files, it bounced back with "Recipient address rejected: User unknown in local recipient table'

did anyone have this experience?

ok, i solved the problem. the user added * in codomain and it makes the email error. i removed it and it works fine now.
