Default ispconfig3 admin password

I dont know what happened.

Ispconfig3.

All was good with my multi-server build until I linked them all up with the main panel. Now admin cannot log into the panel.

I have reset the password using dbispconfig database and UPDATE sys_user SET passwort = md5('admin') WHERE username = 'admin';

I have also made sure /usr/local/ispconfig/server/lib/mysql_clientdb.conf
Reflects the mysql root passwd.

I am running debian squeeze and latest ispconfig v3.0.3.3.

I check apache2 logs and i see.

[Sat Oct 15 16:53:32 2011] [error] [client (my workstation IP)] PHP Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user 'ispconfig'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /usr/local/ispconfig/interface/lib/classes/db_mysql.inc.php on line 72, referer: http://1xx.1xx.1xx.1xx:8080/#

Please help!

Thank You,

madsage

i dont believe so.

where is the .conf file that contains the ispconfig user pass. i will check.

One thing i should note. I used the images to speed up my deployment.
the original keymap was german. I changed it to US. and it was around that time everything broke.

how do i sync the ispconfig user password

Tha password is in many files of all services. The best way to reset it is to download ispconfig tar.gz, run the update.php script and choose to reconfigure services during update.

Thanks for the responces.

I ended up just rebuilding everything from debian base install.
Nothing had been deployed yet, and I should have known better than trying to use images for production. Shortcuts are never the best path.

While i'm sure the images are fine for testing and so forth. for some reason I had problems becuase of the default install language being german. i'm guessing becuase of the keyboard mapping and console data becomming incorrectly matching of some of the passwrd hashings when changed to english.

It might be benficial to the international community that these images be created in english since it has become the international language.

Okay maybe i'm starting to sound like the arrogant American that I am. lol

I appreciate the work on the images none the less, It was good experience for me learning the process of linking multiserver and better insight how ispconfig3 works.

thank you,

madsage
