Default Should I yum update my Centos 5.4

I have ispconfig 3 on Centos 5.4 - I wish to upgrade to the latest ispconfig.

Should I do a yum update first to upgrade to Centos 5.5?
Are there any know problems if I do this.

BTW - how do I tell which version of ispconfig I am running

TIA

I'd upgrade CentOS first, then check if everything's still running, and then update ISPConfig. BTW, make sure you don't update Postfix because you will lose Postfix-MySQL support then.

You can see it in the ISPConfig web interface.
