Exclamation Who uses mambo

Hello

I would like to have myself, if in the forum, somebody use mambo, am if so, I would like to have the details of his installation, because I have only one problem, I cannot install components, is that annoys me....

Question:

Is what the function safe_mode, can block of the installations of components under my cms?

It is necessary like way apache /var/www or /home/www, is enough?

Thank you in advance

MM

You prolly can't install components because the com dir isn't chmodded correctly. Have you had any success with installing modules or templates through mambo admin panel? Do you remember when you had the option to change the permission to all uploaded files and folders during mambo install? What did you choose? Have you considered changing it in admincp? This might also have something to do with ISPConfig not having a 755 / 644 permissions as well. I havent confirmed this though.

As far as i know, mambo has problems with PHP safemode. I've heard there is a safemode patch available or you must disable safemode, what is generally not a good choice for security reasons.
