pure-ftpd login problem

Hello,
I have debian 5.0 server.i create ftp user but when i want to login my account i get this error message.i create different users and password combinations but result is same.how can i solve this problem?

Did you try both active and passive connections in your FTP client?

yes i try that.but the result is same.
