Default Permission deined when opening web dir

myuser@server:/var/www/clients/client1/web1/web$ ls
ls: cannot open directory .: Permission denied
Is it possible to access web dir of sites with myuser? If its possible, is it security risk?

I want this primarily because I want to access site contents through filezilla (ssh). Now, I can create ftp user for every site, but have to "remember" many accounts. If I access them with only one, it will be a lot more easy for me to admin them.

Websites can only be accessed nby the user that owns the website and by the root user.

Get ISPConfig support and the ISPConfig 3 manual from ispconfig.org.
