Thumbs down VmWARE Image

Hello Falko, Rocky,

Why don't you guys release an image for the following:

1) http://www.howtoforge.com/the-perfec...ke-ubuntu-8.04

2) http://www.howtoforge.com/the-perfec...unty-jackalope

3) http://www.howtoforge.com/the-perfec...untu-jeos-9.10

Apart from the ISPCONFIGs images (which i am a fan of), i find all other images canned.....

Thanks

I didn't write those tutorials, that's why I didn't create any images for them. And Rocky is an external contributor (thanks a lot! @Rocky ), and up to now noone of our contributors has ever asked us if they could also upload a VMware image.

Hello,

so how come these images at http://www.howtoforge.com/list-of-do...-vmware-images ?

some of them are up to date, i.e maintained and uploaded when a new version of the OS is released....

for e.g perfect setup centos 5.2 to centos 5.5.....

All authors can make their tutorials available as vmware images, but currently Falko is the only author who is publishing vmware images. The author of the perfect spamsnake tutorial is not publishing vmware images.

Same with the tutorials, some authors publish new releases of their tutorials when a new version of a Linux distrubution gets released, others dont.
