Default moving from Ispconfig 2 to Ispconfig 3 ???

Hi, I am using Ispconfig 2 and I am happy with it.

Now I would like to have a backup server (a server I could rely on if main server fails).

Using Ispconfig 2, this can be done by copying files databases and whatever from main server to second server ("master" to "slave"). I found out a post explaning how to move from one server to another and I have already done it a few years ago.

But this is hard to do, I cannot do it daily. I think another way could be moving from Ispconfig 2 to Ispconfig 3 if posible. Then backup would be automatic. Is that right ?

If I am right the first dns of each domains I have could point to the master server and the second could point to the slave server. Is this correct ?

Is there any post/tutorial explaining how to move (upgrade?) from Ispconfig 2 to Ispconfig 3 ?

Thankyou very much, and apologise for my unknowledge.

ISPConfig 3 was rewritten from scratch and is a totally different software, that's why you can't upgrade from ISPConfig 2 to 3.
