Default Update spamassasin and chkrootkit?

Hello!

I run one of the perfect setups

Just one qestion...

Does spamasassin, logcheck and chkrootkit need to be updated.
I run logcheck and chkrootkit as cron jobs, can I add daily update as cron job? How?

Thank you for a great site and for your time.

Which tutorial are you referring to?
Do you have ISPConfig installed? If so, are you referring to ISPConfig's SpamAssassin, or to your system's default SpamAssassin?

You can update chkrootkit and logcheck without problem, just compile them again from the sources. I wouldn't run a cron job for it.

I`m referring to ISPConfig's SpamAssassin...

So chkrootkit and logcheck does`nt have updates like antivirus software, you actualy have to install it over again?. Do I have to remove the old version first?. How often to reinstall?.

You don't need to update that, it's updated automatically whenever you update ISPConfig.

Whenever there's a newer version and you feel the need to update.
