Yes, currently this is nescessary as the updater died not read custom settings except the database connection during upgrade.

The best solution for the moment is to make a backup copy of config.inc.php and copy it back after the upgrade. You might want to check though, if any new config settings where introduced in the new version.

hi

i would like to know if the upgrade from 222 to 223 also includes sanity-checks to modified files (libs) and templates .. it would be nice to implement a check on md5sum for every file before overwriting .. and a diff-dialouge

No, ISPConfig overwrites your customized files, so you better do a backup of those files before you update.

Such a feature is not implemented in the installer.

By the way, all changes are listed in the changelogs. Links to the chnagelogs can be found here:

Default using 2.1.2 version yet

I'm using version 2.1.2 version on a FC4 production server. Are there any special recommendations before upgrading to the new version? Is there any upgrading guide somewhere to follow as the perfect setup guide?
