Default Bind - DNS question

I need to use bind with ispconfig 3. I never installed mydns but bind was installed by default with centos 5 that i have installed. It doesn't have any .conf files but i would like to generate them with ispconfig. I could do update script, but the problem is when i update ispconfig and choose reconfigure services it usually breaks my old config files, that i manually edited for some things... which basically means, i would like to avoid this issue and just start configuring of only dns. I already see bind settings in Server configuration at ispconfig and paths are correct, but there is no symbolic link in plugins-enabled... can i just make this symbolic link and bind will work correctly and create named.conf.local and zone files ? I can manually write named.conf, so there is no need for reconfiguring script to build one for me...

Thanks for answer in advance.

Best regards
