Virtual Machine Replication & Failover with VMWare Server & Debian Etch

Hello gentlemen,
Congratulations for this great tutorial. I must make exactly the same project but I can not properly discern how to use the two network cards (eth0 and eth1).
In my project, both servers must be in the DMZ behind the firewall.
Please show me how to use eth0 and eth1. Should I have a crossover cable between server1 and server2 on eth1 and eth0 on both servers connected in the DMZ's switch ?
