Default .rpm to .deb

I need to install a beta of Crossover Office to test it. I am running Debian Sid with KDE (Kanotix HD Install). Since the package only comes as an rpm, I tried to open it up as it was, but kpackage says to install it using alien. I try to convert the package to a .deb package, but after I do that the install fails. Can I install the rpm directly without converting it ?

thanx,
