Postfix login broken

I followed this tutorial:

I can login to courier/pop3 just fine. after creating maildirs, of course.

but postfix says i've no mail users. it bounces any mail and i cant authentificate to smtp too :/

if i try to login to smtp manually trough telnet, i get "malformed auth response" error after enterin username.

I've looked trough all postfix config files twice. MySQL login information seems to be correct.

I found that /var/log/auth.log says:

May  8 13:45:49 thehostman postfix/smtpd[19266]: sql_select option missing
May  8 13:45:49 thehostman postfix/smtpd[19266]: auxpropfunc error no mechanism available
May  8 13:45:49 thehostman postfix/smtpd[19266]: _sasl_plugin_load failed on sasl_auxprop_plug_init for plugin: sql
