Default ISPCONFIG3 will not create FTP users correctly

OS: Ubuntu 10.04
ISPCONFIG3 latest version

Websites are created correctly
check this url: http://ubuntu90.ios.dk
websites are running
(OK)

I have tryed to create a FTP login account, through the ISPCONFIG3 manager. When i Create a FTP user on a current site, it seems to be created correctly but when i call the ftp://ubuntu90.ios.dk it continueosly ask for a correct login
i have tryed all combinations....
I have delete and recreated it ....it seems to that the program does not create anything in the system....

If i use my servers root login i get in.....but i can give all my users this login ...so .......what is wrong

Hope you can help me....

This looks like a installation problem of the FTP server and not a problem of creating FTP users as FTP users are not created, they are virtual users and exist only in mysql. So if you see them in ispconfig, then they are created correctly.

To debug the FTP server connection, see here:

Ok, thats explains the problems. proftpd is not supported by ispconfig 3 and can not be used on a ispconfig 3 server. ISPConfig 3 uses only pure-ftpd. Plesae reinstall your system as descrtibed in the perfect setup guides and then run a manual update on ispconfig so that the newly installed services get configured.
