Default How to setup home network

Hope this is the right place?

I have two desktops side by side both run Ubuntu 9.04 and both are connected to the web via wire to the same router. I want to network these and then install and run Snyergy as i only have one keyboard and mouse.

I,m presuming I need to network these first but cant find a how to for this.

Can anyone help?

If you are connected by wire to a home router (linksys, asus, etc) then you are already networked. You just need to know which IP addresses each machine is using...
