understanding apache 2 error message
hello
I just found this error happens over and over again in my logfiles:
Quote:
h898552.serverkompetenz.net : Jul 30 19:35:37 : www-data : unable to lookup
h898552.serverkompetenz.net via gethostbyname()
while www-data is the user apache2 runs as.
any ideas where to look?
###edit###
I edited /etc/hosts to look like this:
Quote:
127.0.0.1 localhost
85.214.51.208 h898552.serverkompetenz.net
is that enough? do you have more stuff inside there?

Might have been a temporary problem. Please make sure you have valid name servers in /etc/resolv.conf.
