Default DNS worries

I am setting up a new server using ISPconfig that will host domains, emails and server as a name server for the hosted domains.

I am confused about how dns works in ISPconfig. It appears we have to create a new zone for each domain that we want to host dns for. This is not something that is done automatically when the domain is created. Is this correct?

Thats correct. The iSPConfig dns works like any dns server.

Get ISPConfig support and the ISPConfig 3 manual from ispconfig.org.

Thanks. I have one request for future development. Other control panels I have used like Plesk or Cpanel will add DNS Zones automatically when a domain is created and I would love to see that in ISPconfig.

This is not a criticism as I am extremely grateful for ISPconfig.
