Running ISP Config Centos Server as Gateway/Router
Hi All,
I am currently running my network in the following config
Internet ---ADSL Modem ---- SMEServer as server/gateway with two nics (ETH1 to external/adsl Modem) (ETH0 to Internal network). Ports 80, 25, 110, 81, 143 all forwarded to ISPCONFIG Centos 5 box on internal network.
It has occured to me that if I can get the ISPConfig box to act as a gateway with two nics then I don't need the SME BOX (with the ports above being forwarded it is not only acting as a Firewall, gateway, and fileserver).
SME7.3 is based on Centos 4.6 and as I am about to upgrade the server there is a strong chance that whatever I motherboard I purchase the SME box won't support the onboard NIC etc.
Solution: Get the ISPCONFIG box to do everything the SME box is currently doing.
Can someone please point me in the howto direction for the following:
1. How to setup ISPConfig as gateway/router server. (presume it can act as an SMB file server
2. Getting DDclient to work on Centos 5.1 or Ispconfig.
3. Getting OPENVPN to work in CENTOS 5.1
4. Is it possible to do "Webbays" in Centos with ISPCONFIG?
Thanks in advance, I know this is a tall order with all the questions.
