File associations in Firefox 3 for linux

I am new to linux and am trying to set things up. I am using Ubuntu 9.04 with the Kubuntu desktop. The problem I am currently running into is when I want to download a .torrent file in firefox it wants to use the Transmission BitTorrent Client that came already installed. I want to use KTorrent instead, but after 3 very frustrating days I am still unable to figure out how to change the file association or default program in firefox.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

You can change this under Tools > Options > Applications.
