email receive problem - no errors in logs

Hi,

This time, I have problem with receiving email (sending is working fine). I'm sending email to specified user created in ISPConfig. And this user has nothing in mailbox. There's no automatic replay (after 12 houres), nothin in mail.log. Where should I look for this?

Do you have a MX record in your DNS zone? When you have one, has it correct been assigned?

I hope so when I send something to unexisting user, i've back email with error (postfix 14). So I think it goes to to right server.

Have you looked in the header of the email you recieved as reply to the unexisting user? Maybe this can tell you anything.

Take a look into your mail log file.

Does Your ISP open port 25 on Your network?
I just had this same issue with our new network.

You can check from home like this (does your home connection have port 25 open?)
telnet your-server-address.com 25

If you get answer then you know TCP/IP port 25 is open.
If not, try from somewhere else before contacting your ISP.
