Default Changing server IP Address

Hi All,

I have been running ISPConfig 2 now for 2 years with little hassles and issues. It was very pleasant.

I am now in the process of replacing the server. I have read up and know that I cannot upgrade to 3 and that the 2 packages are different. I have got the new server up and running with Ubuntu 8.10 perfect setup with ISPConfig 3.

I will be setting up all my domains, sites and mailboxes on the new server. Will i be able to take it to the server room and change my IP address and all be up and running.

Will the new server use the same IP as the old one? If not, you must change all your DNS records, and the changes can take a few days to propagate which means that some users will not be able to visit your sites.
