Default MyDNS?

I followed the guide here on howtoforge to install ISPconfig 3, and at the step where I installed MyDNS, it couldn't find my MySQL server even though it works fine...

Do I really need myDNS if I have another server managing my nameservers?

and if so how do I get around the mysql detection issue?

By the way this is a Ubuntu server 8.10

Get ISPConfig support and the ISPConfig 3 manual from ispconfig.org.
