Default ispconfig stats question

I got a strange problem after upgrading to, my previous version was

When i go to /stats dir i get error 403 forbidden..
In het error log i get:
(13)Permission denied: /var/www/xxx/web/stats/.htaccess pcfg_openfile: unable to check htaccess file, ensure it is readable

stats program i use is awstats and Webalizer.

Things i did to correct it:
run the Resync Websites Resync tool, but didn't help (stats dir gets wrong permissions so it looks.

changed the stats dir with: chown root:root stats and chmod 755 stats dir this worked...

is this the correct setting for the stats dir?

Probably yes. My IspConfig3 set default permission for /stats folder: (nginx)

drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Aug 14 15:04 stats
