Acceptance of domain literalsWARNING: One or more of your mailservers does not accept mail in the domain literal format (user@[0.0.0.0]). Mailservers are technically required RFC1123 5.2.17 to accept mail to domain literals for any of its IP addresses. Not accepting domain literals can make it more difficult to test your mailserver, and can prevent you from receiving E-mail from people reporting problems with your mailserver. However, it is unlikely that any problems will occur if the domain literals are not accepted (mailservers at many common large domains have this problem).
mail.domain.com's postmaster@[85.105.174.11] response:
>>> RCPT TO:<postmaster@[85.105.174.11]>
<<< 554 : Relay access denied

There is no problem at all with the warnings above.

Create an email address for postmaster and abuse for your domain name.

Im really Sorry for my ignorance or lack of knowledge whichever comes first....

But when you say create a email address for abuse@domain.com and postmaster@domain.com what exactly do you mean

I think you mean creates a A RR record and/or a MX record in the master domain in ispconfig ???

Something like this....
Quote:
A Record

IP-Adresse Hostname
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx mail
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx www
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx postmaster
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx abuse

CNAME
Hostname Target

MX
Mailserver Hostname
mail.domain.com
Or what you are telling me is that i need to create a client account for the domain and include a absue and postmaster email accounts ???

Yes that would be another question what if i want to create a client account and a website for the domain do i do this normally through ispconfig ???

regards
brainz

No, the report you posted here complains about email addresses, not DNS. Just create the email addreses postmaster@... and abuse@.... for your domain.

So if i create a client account and a site within ispconfig for my domain www.baktim.com <--- which is the server that has ispconfig running on it also include 2 email accounts postmaster@baktim.com and absue@baktim.com

This should fix the problem

First, there is no problem in your setup at all! You posted areport that checked your server against the RFC recommendations.

If you want to solve this, create the email accounts as i suggested.

Thats correct. If you already created the master DNS for the domain, do not check the create DNS and create DNS-MX checkboxes.
