Question i need help, this server stuff is new to me

the tutorial i saw of yours on the centOS 4.7 sever install was set up for a sever to use over the www. I dont know if i need to set it up the same for my usage. I want to set up a sever for my home use. I want to have a server in home so that I can store all my media on it and still access it from my wireless devices. am i using the correct software. and can you assist me in setting up. I am just a hair confused right now.

Default xbmc

i checked out the web site and am downloading xbmc, it does not state whether it works for ps3. it does i read for xbox though. and do i have to load this on all my computers?
